BP4

I have chosen Animoto for this assignment. Animoto automatically produce videos from photos video clips and music. It syncs with Facebook Flickr and other social media sites. It adapts very well to music from several venues (Animoto.com). And it can be shared in numerous ways on Facebook, YouTube etc. every anti-Moto video is completely unique because of the cinematic artificial intelligence analysis the nuance of images video and music the user controls the type of effects backgrounds and transitions by selecting a predetermined video style (Animoto.com). Animoto provides licensing for all music clips; they have more than 1000 commercially licensed songs in 15 different genres. Animoto videos come in several different resolutions (Animoto.com). The web-friendly 360 P videos load quickly and are perfect for embedding, sharing social media, are downloading to mobile device. For 480p videos are perfect for burning to DVDs, and 720P high definition videos will look stunning on any screen size (Animoto.com).

At the heart of Animoto is its cinematic artificial intelligence that thinks like an actual director and editor to analyze and combine the user-selected images, video clips and music which is same sophisticated post-production skills and techniques used in television and film (Animoto.com). The technology takes into account every nuance of the song-the genre, song structure, energy, rhythm, instrumentation, and vocals. Whether it's punk, pop hit-hop or a classical Mozart piece, every Animoto video is fully customized. Even videos generated with an identical set of images and music will each have a completely dazed distinct set of motion design (Animoto.com).

The process in developing the video is very user-friendly. It consisted of four steps which are:
  • Select a theme
  • Insert a video clip or pictures
  • Select music
  • Enter text
Once these four elements are arranged in a simple storyboard screen, is then submitted and produced by Animoto. I produced a 34 second video. This is the maximum size allowed for the free subscription of Animoto. It was quite simple, I first selected the theme, and then I uploaded JPEG format pictures. I selected a music clip from the music library. I entered text in a text dialog box and was able to place in the appropriate spot. The brief video that I produced was a simple introduction to National Real Estate Academy.

  1. Excellent Robert! You found a goldmine. This was an outstanding way to use Animoto. Just think of the training promos you could do with the paid version. Intros to courses, registration information, upcoming realtor conferences, etc. could be produced quickly and easily. Better than Second Life, huh?
